पाटबंधाऱ्याच्या लाभक्षेत्रात हाती घेतलेली कामे पुढीलप्रमाणे आहेत : -
१. शेतजमिनीवरील विकास, २. कालवा-पद्धतीचे आधुनिकीकरण, ३. लाभक्षेत्रात जोडरस्ते बांधणे, ४. लाभक्षेत्रात कृषि विस्तार सेवेची तरतूद करणे, ५. योग्य त्या पीक-रचना पद्धतीची निवड करून ती सुरू करणे, ६. लाभक्षेत्रात शेतकऱ्यांना कर्जाच्या सोयी उपलब्ध करून देणे, ७. लाभक्षेत्राची सामाजिक-आर्थिक दृष्टीने पाहणी करणे.
